Engineers and Geoscientists BC is committed to ensuring our professions, programs, and events uphold high standards of inclusivity and respect. Regrettably, at the 2024 Annual Conference, a session entitled “Capitalizing on Neurological Differences to Engage Women in Engineering” did not meet these standards. As a result, this content is not available to stream. Some of this material was not aligned with our core values and our goal of making a positive impact in the world by advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We acknowledge portions of this content were upsetting for members of the audience and we apologize. Harmful stereotypes were shared and there was a lack of evidence-based connection between some of the subject matter and neuroscience. We are making changes to ensure our standards are met in the future. You can read about these changes here.
